Outdoor Decor for Christmas

Just finished our outdoor decorations for the holidays this weekend. Dad and I collected dead branches and sprayed and glittered them. I added green apples to the urns, some white poinsettias and I think it turned out great! I will take a picture of it during the day so you can see the whole yard.

That little black dress...

Just one more item I have added to my decor- a 1950's black satin dress studded with rhinestones. It is really quite pretty. Now I need a crinoline slip so the skirt will be full. I love it!

One More Update

We finally got Yard of the Month. Well it has actually been more like yard of the summer! They told us in June, told us again in July, then put the sign in the yard and gave us a plaque in August! If it is not gone in a couple days we maybe in for Yard of the Year!!!

Mom decorates again!

I have got some cool items coming to me from Ebay. Can't wait till they arrive. One item is a dress makers dummy and a cool 1950's black dress with rhinestones. I will be adding these to my decor!

I know it is only September 1st tomorrow but I have started decorating for Fall! It is just too boring looking at the same views over and over again. It is time for a change! My theme this year is simplicity...

Plan to add more black, orange and silver to the room this weekend. I am looking for some pillow cover fabric in black and white. My new couch should arrive this week! Can't wait!
I am also working on new topiaries for the front porch. Will send pics when I finish. I really don't think the pictures show off how nice the rooms look, but this is the best I could do!

Reintjes Home Updates-July 2009

I have been working on redecorating my house, which as you know is a continuing endeavor for me! I look at my house as a canvas and I am the artist. I like to constantly revise my vision as my moods or tastes change. I have ordered a new slipcovered couch in a warm white denim. It should be here in August. I love my new more serene look! Hope you will too.

We are really enjoying our pergola for evening dining and just relaxing after work!
